About

Dr Kiaos is both a trained organisational culture expert and psychologist. Dr Kiaos completed her Ph.D. under Professor Gideon Kunda, who studied under Emeritus Professor Edgar Schein (MIT), both leading organisational culture experts.

Dr Kiaos founded Mind Culture Life Australia in August 2024 because of increases in employee ill-mental health which is often intricately tied to poor organisational culture. For this reason, Mind Culture Life Australia conducts workshops in Organisational Culture and Mental Health, Organisational Culture Research and Analysis, Psychosocial Risk Research and Evaluation along with conducting complex Psychological Workers’ Compensation Claims and providing Workplace Therapy.

As a result, Mind Culture Life Australia has achieved many milestones in a very short space of time, such as working with a number of organisations to help improve the collective emotional wellbeing of Australian workers. Dr Kiaos consults with organisations in a variety of industries, including government, healthcare organisations, consulting firms and private enterprise to assess and improve an organisation’s ethos, culture, culture change management practices, approaches to leadership and mental health management.

Dr Kiaos has published extensively on the topic of organisational culture and mental health. A list of her academic publications can be viewed via her UNSW research profile - https://www.unsw.edu.au/staff/anna-kiaos. Dr Kiaos works for the University of New South Wales, School of Clinical Medicine, Discipline of Psychiatry and Mental Health.

Dr Kiaos received her Ph.D. from Macquarie University Business School and her Master of Health Communication from the University of Sydney. Dr Kiaos also holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science from the University of New England and a Graduate Diploma of Psychology Advanced from Monash University.

Dr Anna Kiaos · Founder & Director, Mind Culture Life Australia Safe Work Australia has just released its 2025 WHS prosecutions data, and the headline is unusual: for the first time in five years, the number of prosecutions has fallen — from 321 in 2024 to 308 in 2025. On its own, that number reads as good news. Read alongside the penalties data, it tells a very different story. The average financial penalty per prosecution in 2025 was $147,985 — the highest annual average ever recorded, and...

The Injuries We Count — and the Ones We Don’t
What Safe Work Australia’s new sales and service data reveals about culture and psychosocial risk By Dr Anna Kiaos | Founder, Mind Culture Life Australia More than 2.3 million Australians go to work each day behind a counter, in a kitchen, or on a shop floor. According to Safe Work Australia’s newly released work health and safety profile of sales and service workers, they form one of the nation’s largest — and youngest — workforces: 52 per cent are women, and more than a third are aged...
